Extra Tax Credits Payment

Hi
My tax credits payment is generally due on a thursday. Last week, however, I received a payment on the monday (16/12/13) and another on the thursday (19/12/13.)
I presumed this was an early payment due to the christmas period, but the lady at my local credit union said this often happens when someone changes bank accounts (which I did a couple of weeks ago.)
Has anyone else came across this?

Many thanks. That would explain why my weekly payments have reduced by about £13 if a recalculation has been done.blondebubbles wrote: »Generally anytime a change is made on your tax credits, you receive a one off payment.
