I don't think I will be relaxing yet Sheils. Don't know where to start with the cleaning. I have just shut the bedroom doors for now and will start downstairs. What with them both having been working to deadlines at work with reports to get in etc nothing has got done. Anyway I will just tackle a bit of Spring Cleaning each day and hope its all done by the time they get back.
DH is just going to cook me some bacon, egg and toast for lunch. Will need to go out and get some food in at some point.
Hope you are all having a good day.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Afternoon all!
Glad your DH is over his man flu finally FF! Man flu seems to last longer than the flu us ladies get doesn't it!
Shiels, glad to hear you are catching up on missed sleep - I have too and feel so much better for it! Glad your parents enjoyed their hols and hope you enjoy your days out!
Sylvia - lol at you DD - Tescos last minute....ironing last minute.....I have all that to look forward to (not) when mine are that age! You DH sounds a dream for cooking you up bacon, egg and toast for lunch! Hold on to him!
Hi Rose - hope you enjoyed your breakfast! I am like you - really slim mostly due to my Crohn's, but I am also a very healthy eater anyway and have never been over weight. After giving birth I was one of those mums other mums loved to hate because I was back in my Skinny Jeans and pre-pregnancy weight within 4 days of giving birth. I have heard some people say I wish I had Crohn's so I could lose loads of weight but I wouldn't wish the disease on my worst enemy. It is so painful during flare ups and I have to have iron infusions and take vitamins and supplement drinks just to get nutrition into me. My docs kept telling me that I had IBS for years and it wasn't until I became so anemic and lost so much weight that I was referred to a gasto consultant. I always say to anyone who sufferes from really bad IBS to get checked out as you could have Crohn's or inflamatory bowel disease. It isn't inherited either as I am the only one in my family to suffer from it, though my mam has IBS.
Well, I have had a lovely morning - I dusted all around upstairs - from the tops of the wardrobes to the skirting boards! Then I hoovered all around the rooms - even pulling out furniture so I could get behind and under! It is amazing how much dust accumulates in the bedrooms over the Winter! I am going to do the same downstairs this afternoon. The weather is cloudy but dry and not too cold so the boys have been playing in the garden and the girls helped me for a bit then decided to clean out (well re-arrange the furniture) in their doll's house! I absolutely love cleaning - I am one of those who would clean before a cleaner came (if I had one!) and I always clean hotel rooms before I leave as I would hate the cleaners to think we were messy lol! Oh and I also wash my hair before going to the hairdressers even though I know my hairdresser will wash it anyway! I just hate dirt and dust!
LOL and before you ask....no I do not clean wearing an outfit like that though I do have a fairy crown!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Another weekend and after accomodating everyone again my plans have been scuppered at the last minute- 6 weeks now on the trot. Pointless me even bothering with things anymore.

Sounds like you have been busy Bella.
Sorry plans haven't gone right for you sax.
I have been busy getting the washing up to date and buying in food.
Have also got the case packed and spare shoes and jackets in the car as we are meaning to try and leave earlier than usual tomorrow as further than we normally go for a few nights.
Weather been great here so hopefully will stay like that.
Did you have a take away tonight FF? We had Tesco curry ready meals but I added more chicken and made 2 do 3 meals with some extras. Was quite nice really.
See there are new daily comps for Cornwall break so off to investigate. Entered all the old ones.
EDIT They aren't new ones - someone has been adding details to them all.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
