Afternoon all! Not a bad day here - didn't really get the fog this morning and it is cloudy but mild and dry.
I had a blood test on Monday to check my iron levels and ESR rate (which measures inflammation in the body) and the nurse rang before with my results....my iron is really low (which explains my tiredness lately) and my ESR rate is high (which was also expected because I'm having a Crohn's flare up and that causes my iron levels to drop too!) So I will be going for a course of iron infusions at the hospital over the next three weeks to top my levels up! I don't mind having them. I just sit is a nice cosy arm chair on a side ward with a nice cup of tea and some biscuits and chat to others having similar iron/blood infusions! There was one lady there last time and she was having iron drained from her body because apparently she produces too much iron!!! Amazing what you learn when you chat to other patients!
OH and I got the reminder letter for my smear test yeah! (not!) I know it is only every three years and is important to have but I cringe at the thought of it! So I have made an appointment to get it done later this month!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
