you need to win a camera
looks like it's not a town dweller due to its tail ize, would love to have a fox as a pet0 -
Hi,sax11
It's a semi-rural area but there are less foxes in the area than a few years back.I think it is down to the lack of rabbits.I think in 2011 we had a rabbit boom which then caused a fox boom.
At one time I think we had about five sets of cubs in the local area.
Great things to watch :-)0 -
we have a fox that is a regular in the town seems to be attracted round the takeaways cafes etc probably because it is looking for food it's a cocky thing though doesnt even flinch when you walk past it although it doesnt seem to approach humans0

Hi,rosemac
They seem to go phases re human interaction in our area. When we had the population surge there was one that would actually follow me up the road to the post box.It would wait for me & then follow me back to the start.
It would follow from across the road though. This year's are a bit more wary.0 -

hope it turns out ok for you rose :jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Thanks FF & Bella - glad you liked them. We love the lakes but will probably be avoiding them for most of the summer as they get too busy and parking is difficult and very expensive if you can't find a free space in a layby or road. We are expert at finding free parking but just about impossible in the summer. Lancaster and towns on the edge of lakes are fine. We have booked 2x£25 Premier Inn nights at a new hotel in Barrow in Furness for May. That area should be OK too.
sounds good sheils,
hopefully the weather will be lots better by may for you
would it be ok if I copy your pic of the waterfall as would love it for printing out on p/cards :jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

Thanks FF. Weather couldn't have been much better than Mondays especially for walking.
Feel free with the waterfall pic. I tried loads of different angles but was pleased with that one when I compared it with some official pics.
Think I must stay in the only area where foxes just live in the countryside - have never seen one near our house.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
