found a really, really old bank statement from nationwide (20 years old) for 11p - so phoned them to see if the account was active. I am now the owner of the account and a grand total of £1.34 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
it's the best performing bank account i have
Looks like i'll be telling barclays where to poke their new charges0 -
Thanks for welcome home.:D I have put some pics on FB for the peeps who are interested. There are ones of Aira Force Waterfall, daffodils from Glencoyne Bay where Wordsworth wrote the poem and the hotel is Shap Wells where we were staying the first night.

Sheils, you photos are lovely - the Aira Force Waterfall looks lovely and so do the dancing daffodils! The weather looked bright in your photos too, even if it was a bit fresh! So glad you enjoyed yourselves!
Sax, you have reminded me - I had a TSB account which I never closed down as it had something like £1 odd in it - well that was about 15 years ago! Since then I have moved a few times and so I have been put off trying to track it down because I think it might incur too much effort and form filling (and embarassment) just to find the account has probably £2 in it!. I might pop into my local Lloyds TSB (which it is now called) though and just ask them how I go about tracking it down! When you rang your bank, what info did they ask you - just your name, birth date, address you lived at when you had the account?
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Thanks FF & Bella - glad you liked them. We love the lakes but will probably be avoiding them for most of the summer as they get too busy and parking is difficult and very expensive if you can't find a free space in a layby or road. We are expert at finding free parking but just about impossible in the summer. Lancaster and towns on the edge of lakes are fine. We have booked 2x£25 Premier Inn nights at a new hotel in Barrow in Furness for May. That area should be OK too.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

just my name, previous addresses - simple questions really, as long as you remember all your old addresses/postcodes you should be ok -
worth doing as they need to keep the info incase people get back in touch0 -
