Managed a little walk earlier. We decided to go along the river and it had the worst flooding we had ever seen there. We did manage to do part of the walk but it did look bad. Trust us to pick high tide time to have our walk.
My youngest sister is going to New York in July with 2 friends for one of their 40ths elle. She is really excited too.
Have started my calendar for hotel stays FF. Like the wishes pic quote.
I have booked 2 £25 nights for North Shields at the end of March and have left it at that for now until I find out about the other 2 wins.
Really must do a few comps now. Did the clickies and WW earlier but not much else.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Back up and running. The screens hadn't arrived when we got to town, called back after our shopping and still not there. Got home, started to take down decs and they rang to say they had arrived! Caught the bus back to town. They did it in half an hour so that was good.
Love your quote firefly. Glad you have managed you clean up will have to do mine tomorrow now as not been back long.
Well done booking your hotel Sheils.

Happy New Year to everyone!
I've had a win today and so has DH.
I got a WEM at lunchtime saying I've won a set of Sophie Hannah books (which I think is a total of 8) from a competition that was in the back of one her books I was given for my birthday earlier in the year. I love her books so really pleased.
DH just had a WEM from the Most Wanted advent saying he's won a copy of the latest Ian Rankin book. I had it on my Christmas list but didn't get it so he can put it away for my birthday.
We already can't move in the house for books, so no idea where I'll put them when they arrive.
Weather is still very wet here with the river (which is very close to us) getting higher and higher every day. Am glued to the Environment Agency site for updates (though I should be working). We shouldn't have a problem as the last time there was flooding in 2003 we were the only house in the street not flooded as we're a little bit higher and further back than the rest. Can't help but worry though!0 -
to you suem & all yours :j
well done to DH & you on the wins :j:j
hope you'll be ok with the floods ((hugs))
