Loving all the New Year pics. Wonder where ILC is?

Glad you are enjoying our company elle - great to have you on board.

I have hung the washing out and got beef on to make a steak pie for later. Didn't know it was a Scottish Tradition elle just thought it would be nice.
We usually go to my parents and my sisters go too and then we never get to eat our own dinner so will see. Will have the pie tomorrow if we end up eating and drinking too much.
DD has been up to get an Irn'bru which is suspicious - think she had a few drinks at the party although she seemed fine when she came in although she didn't want a drink with us for the bells. Teenagers are a worry at Hogmanay especially in Scotland.

Thanks sheils :) Think the steak pie thing probably central Scotland tradition, always had it on Hogmanay, before the Bells, presumably to keep you going when the drinking started :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
OH likes to keep the traditions going though he got his at the butcher's this year.

So glad my kids are past their teens but with 3 GDs just reaching that stage, know what you mean ;)

Thanks Sylvia, heading off shortly, looking forward to seeing everyone

Is everyone having a nice day?

We met up with my family and had a bit of a buffet and a few drinks except poor DH who volunteered to drive. We didn't stay too long and have now opened our cava and put the pie in the oven. It has poured down since about 11.15am so DH run DS3 back to work too so he was ready for his first drink.
Have managed to do the Dailies, clickies, ITV and some FB comps.

Glad you have had a good time Katie, FF and Sylvia.

Wine and pie finished now (apart from DS3's portion) but both really good. Having a Cappuchino now.

If anyone is looking for hotel stays Best Western has half price B&B deals and Premier Inn has a £25 a night sale starting tomorrow.

Spoke to ILC on Twitter and she seems to be OK Sylvia.

Hi everyone  hope you all had a good night last night :)
I had a quiet one with the kids. Was asked to go to bro's again but already had a chicken dinner on for me & kids plus kids were in their pj's anyway!

Elle, glad you had a good evening and I'm glad you popped in last year to say hi :) The inn is a friendly place and sometimes I just pop in for a chat too rather than comp!

Sounds like your DD had fun last night Sheils :) I dread it when mine get older to start drinking!

That's lovely that the robin has become friendly and tame fire**fly :) It's because they sense you are so lovely and generous feeding them xx

Hope you had a good night too Sylvia xx I haven't bothered making any resolutions either! I thought about it but I would probably break them too!

I watched a bit of Gary Barlow too Katie before bringing new yr in with kids. Glad you enjoyed yourself :)

Not got my decs down yet. Will leave it till tomorrow.

It is a worry wingo but DD is a lot more sensible than any of the boys have been. Didn't let her stay out late though. We all have to learn. DS3 looks pretty rough and has had to work today.

Our decs come down tomorrow too.
