Bella, I am guilty of doing that to my sis when I looked after her house one time! I didn't have a clue about how long to keep food and I threw her joints of meat out that she had in freezer thinking they were a week out of date!

Fire**fly, I don't like lemon on mine but son was asking for a jif lemon. He thought I was mad when I told him I always buy one cheap after pancake day to clean my fridge and microwave with! Hope you and DH enjoyed yours

Lovely pics Sheils I saw them on fb. Didn't son make you a welcome home meal? I think my son will go into cooking as he loves it. It's scary to know my DD1 will be 15 at end of year and can't even boil a kettle or anything! No matter how many times you show her...it goes in one ear and out the other!

Never tried pancakes with cherry pie filling Sylvia but fire**fly's pic of them looks lush! :drool:

Welll I was gonna comp but DH left iPad uncharged and it's only on 5%. Now he's happily asleep on sofa so I'm gonna throw a slipper at him!

Good Morning,

Hope you are feeling better today sax and everyone else is OK too.
My DH took stomach pains and diarrhoea last night but is feeling a bit better this morning. DD is convinced she has tonsillitis so waiting to see how she is this morning. Going to feel like a hospital here.

Looks like it will be an Ok day so will have to get the washing up to date again. DS2 says he will make my favourite meal tonight - chicken stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon and dauphinois potatoes. Can't wait. He is a wonderful chef.
Just made a cup of tea and noticed all the enormous dirty knives sitting from the boys snacks last night. Why chefs need a huge fancy knife to cut butter and cheese etc is beyond me.

yep wingo, I always use jif lemon for m/wave & fridge
as well, handy for lots of little jobs round the house :j
