Morning all
After such a lovely day yesterday back to dreich and drizzle today
I think I am giving up on the clickies, far too many for same prizes, not worth it imo.
Really must get organised for going away for the summer as getting closer now and lots to sort before we go.
Flights are booked but need to do travel insurance, car hire for when we arrive, mail redirection to my DDs etc.
Have a lucky day everyone0 -
Just a quick pop in as have to go and pick up DD1 + 2 as GS is going to a play group at school and her car is in for Service. Going to be a busy day. Sister is also going home today.
Hope you are all well and have a lucky day.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Dark skies but warm so can't complain on the weather. Will complain about being in work and putting up with the tiresome monotony that i'm being paid a pittance for. Could do with a lotto or ITV win to aleviate a bit of the pressure.:D
Now, back to the comps - work can wait0 -
Hi Fire**fly! Yes, back down on the beach today! Must admit I love the sea and don't think I could ever live inland where I couldn't see it! I love watching the ships, ferries, boats and yachts sail past and we get lots of surfers too, when the winds get up!
My dad has a fishing boat as he loves sea or shore fishing and years ago he used to have lobster pots too, but not any more. Yuk - I used to hate the smell in the kitchen when my mum was cooking crabs and lobsters! She used to put them in a pot of cold water on the stove and as the water heated, it was awful to hear them 'scream' (yes scream!) and struggle! Cruel but apparently it is the best way to cook them! I never ate one! I just remember teasing them when my dad brought them home. He would put them in an old washing basket until my mum was ready to cook them and I would poke pencils and sticks close to their huge claws for them to cling on to! Luckily they never caught my finger! EEK!
I love the smell of the salty air too and I have met some really nice regular dog walkers down there too! Happy days!....:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
The screaming from a lobster is the steam escaping from the shells as tehy have no vocal chords
I don't do the sea - got seasick once in an inland marina.
Suns out now and it's actually quite warm. Been looking on job sites today and there really isn't much i can go for.
Nice that you can walk on the beach blu- something i will be doing when the weather picks up and i can take the kids beachcombing again. Luckily they have my passion for nature so it's an enjoyable day out for them.0 -

Sax I love nature too and my girls are forever collecting shells and the boys love looking for creatures in the rock pools! Good luck with the job hunting too - I don't think there is much going any where at the mo though
Still sunny here!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
