The Comper's Inn (part 43)

Beautiful day here now - had a nice walk by the river although the path is really muddy in parts now. I hope the council sort it again in the spring.
Have hardly done any comps today yet. Booked my last hotel win, added the Jurys Inn stay to the other Edinburgh one in March. Will need to park car out of town and bus in for it but easier than taking bus all the way to Glasgow which we had been thinking of doing. Will have to go back out to collect car to go to the other hotel the next day but should work out OK as Edinburgh has a great bus service. Really annoys me when hotels don't have parking but can't moan when it is free and will be nice to stay in the centre.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Glad you like your haircut Sax.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

That's just what I could do with sax, a haircut! Sick of hacking at it myself, and the kids hairs! I cut DD's fringe the other day but she moved quickly so now has a wonky fringe!
Have you got any nieces to give extension to fire**fly? All the young ones seems to be wearing them these days.
Sounds like an ideal plan Sheils taking car half way and bus the rest. I went for bus this morning for work which decided to come early and went as I tried running for it! I hate it when that happens!
Enjoy your day with your sis Sylvia xx
Love the clothes horse pic BlueBWhich reminded me....I popped in morrisons after work and there was a woman walking around in pyjamas without a care in the world!
Was going to go into town for a while to take a jumper back but can't be bothered in this rain!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Men are so lucky as their haircuts cost a fraction of the cost us girlies are charged! Bet you feel nice and clean cut now Sax!
Yes fire**fly, I agree with wingo, all they young ones love their extensions! I had them for years until 2012. My hair has always been really long, and still is, but I just loved having loads of hair to play around with and kind of got addicted to them! Mine weren't clip ins though so they were high maintenance and I don't miss that!
Glad the rain cleared up for you sheils - it started off nice here, then the rain came and it has just cleared up now and the sun has come out! Apparently it is supposed to be Spring-like all over the country tomorrow - so we will try and get out and make the most of it!
Oh and wingo, I often see girls shopping in their pj's! It is something I would never do myself - I hate even rushing to put the wheelly bins out in my dressing gown if I hear the bin men coming along the road!I used to live in Jesmond, which is very close to the Uni of Northumbria - and is where all the students live in shared houses etc. Well all you would see in Tescos were groups of students shopping in their pjs and often in bare feet too! Luckily living where I am now, by the sea, I only see the odd nut in pjs!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Still cost £10 - thats an expense i could do without.
Only costs you ladies loads as you have it washed, coloured, styled, blow dried, free coffee, hour long moans to the hairdresser - it all costs their time0 -
yes, got nieces wingo/blue,
but when I emailed them they said they said they weren't really fussed
think they think it's going to be a granny wig or something :rotfl: i'll wait till it arrives & show them,
if none wants it i'll donate to the hospital like sylv suggested,
often used to see the young ones out shopping in their jammys & d/gown when we lived near city :rotfl:
great the rain cleared up for you sheils :j
been horrible here with rain, but it's finally stopped now
:jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Quite pleased Valentine's is over - I went to Sainsburys this morning and came home with half price Valentine's chocolates, half price pink socks with hearts on and full sized bags of Haribo Hearts and Rings which had been reduced to 49p!!!
Mmmm wonder if some peeps buy their Valentine's cards and gifts in the sale and put them away for next year!
Looking forward to watching Splash the final and Take Me Out this evening!Hope you all have a good evening planned x

Aw no, I forgot to look for the half price chocs in morrisons! You've just reminded me BlueBella! (Not like me!
) I did find some more promo Nexus kitkat wrappers though, but I expect all the Nexus' have been won by now!
Some of them extensions can be quite expensive fire**fly, my nieces always pay around £100-200 to get them in so if hospital don't need them...eBay might!
DH is laid in bed with bedroom window wide open because it's warm in bedroom! The house is freezing now and I'm worried the spiders will get in!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Spiders aren't out and about now - they've all blown down the road.
Although i think there is a massive one in the kids room somewhere, my eldest saw it the other day and i'm not keen on investigating to see if it's gone.0 -
Spiders aren't out and about now - they've all blown down the road......
or drowned! :rotfl: I just attach the long nozzle to the vax and switch it on - gets rid quick!!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Have you tried to drown a spider, it just doesn't happen (unless it's in cillit bang, thats my household tip )
what do you do when you have to empty the vax though? Tough little sods spiders, they will live for a bit0
