Good Morning,

Hope everyone is well today. Still dark here at the moment and forecast to rain. Will be having a quiet day catching up with housework and a few comps I think.
The Hello food box came yesterday and it had some interesting recipe cards and food so DH is wanting to try some of them so who am I to spoil his fun

Morning
We have had gale force winds here all night.Still going now.I had to tape my letterbox down as it kept banging and the dog thought someone was at the door and kept barking at it...lol. I have the contractor coming this morning to look at the wall. Don't think he can start building yet as this weather has been forecast for the next week..:)
I hope the weather is better where you are.

just drizzling with rain & the winds calmed down a lot,
hope it's not to bad where you all are

was looking to see if they found the croc yesterday but can't find anything about it this morning

Lol @ the dog barking at the letter box indie! Ours is in the kitchen most days but he hates it as he can't sit and look out of the door watching for postie!

Hope you got your glasses ok ellemm You've reminded me I need to get myself some new ones for watching tv. I broke my good ones a few yrs ago and never replaced them, just using old ones that are not as strong! I wear contacts most days so these are just for tv when my eyes are tired!

Well done on your hair turning out just as you like it Sheils, you are right to stick to your Sister for the cut as she is used to doing it for you. It is always a risk letting someone new do it.

Glad you DS had a lovely day wingo. Are you on a day off today? Forgot to ask, what color range cooker did you go for in the end?

Never mind firfly, Spring is just around the corner and you will be able to get in the garden again.

Enjoy your after eight Dreams, I gave mine to DD1 for the kids so I wouldn't eat them as once they were open I wouldn't be able to leave them alone.

I trust that your new glasses are just what you want Elle, everyone seems to be going for new ones. I love it when the time come around when I can get new ones, wearing them all the time I get fed up of them.

Did manage a walk this morning although we got caught in the rain getting back.

DH made some "Silver Lining Carrot, Pancetta and Lentil Soup" from the Hello Box and it was lovely. It came with herb focaccia which was really nice too. He isn't used to following recipes but quite enjoyed making it so hopefully he will make it again. He is going to make the Moroccan steak dish sometime and I am making the Southern Style Chicken with Sweet Potato Chips tonight I think. Really nice win and fun too.

Know what you mean about new glasses Sylvia.

Annoyed at Optician - reading glasses really not right, worse than the ones I have :mad:
Can't read the laptop screen with them (can't have that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and have to hold a book about 5 inches in front of my eyes or text is blurred :eek:
Have to go back tomorrow for re-test, might just tell them to forget it and give me my money back. Distance ones are OK.

On the upside, received my prize from Look mag daily of designer LBD and Ecover stuff, it's lovely and DD will suit it well.

No wins for me yet this month

Sylvia, I chose a black range cooker. I did like the red but didn't want to chance it incase I went off it! I get it in about ten days, hopefully DH will have finished some DIY then! I was only at work two hours today.

Horrid weather here now and DD seems to think she saw snow!
