Should i pay this parking charge notice?

Sorry if this has been covered but ive been unable to find a related issue as mine. firstly, I received the parking charge notice at Leeds Trinity University from tps. however on the day, none of there machines were in use and I have sent them a photograph of this, also the car was parked in the tennis courts in which no pay and display signs were displayed and finally the colour they have said the car is on the charge notice is wrong. are these valid reasons for cancellation of the ticket? and should I pay the apparent outstanding fee? any help is very much appreciated.

Firstly, well done for going to this thread first, as most newbies don't read it at all.

But, this is an 'advisory only' thread, for information only. So you do need to start a new thread of your own (just copy and paste your post above) and you'll get plenty of help specific to your circumstances.

Will just ask crabman the forum guide to split the thread

Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Nothing you've detailed above is going to get the ticket cancelled (especially the colour of your car), but we can help you get it quashed.

Please confirm the precise name of the parking company?
    Was it a windscreen ticket?
    Date of ticket?
Are you the registered keeper of the car?
Have you had anything through the post from the parking company?
    Do you live in England/Wales?

Come back with answers and we can get on with helping you.

So I assume you have told them you were driving, which is a shame but not a problem overall. Did they respond to your appeal yet? Have you got a POPLA code?

If so it's just a matter of adapting a version in the link in the Newbies thread you started on 'How to win at POPLA'. All appeals to POPLA must have certain points in them as you will see from that link in the Newbies thread. It's relevant that there were no signs in the tennis court, so you could include that as a POPLA appeal point - but your main points will be the usual winners as shown in the link I mentioned.

You do NOT pay this. We win 100% of POPLA appeals and TPS are easily beaten. If you haven't got a rejection letter yet and have clearly 'appealed' then wait.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I haven't confirmed I was the driver just stated that on the day the machines were not in use but I made sure not to say I was driving. I have yet to receive a reply to my appeal...I put this down to it being Christmas and all that. ill make sure to take a look at the thread should my appeal be rejected by them. thanks for the help.

That's good news that you didn't say who was driving. They should reject or accept your appeal within 35 days so maybe early January now. Make sure you follow forum advice re the POPLA appeal and you will win, 100% certain.
