It's possible to get your point across to them without being a bell end - the person on the other end of the phone didn't make the mistake.

Besides, my team in a call centre I worked at always gave more to people who were courteous. If someone was a tool they got the bare minimum.

Just to let you know Matty I was very polite indeed:p

That is pretty much the rules my call centers work to. If someone is nasty to them on the phone then they will either get as little as we can get away with legally, or they will get hung up on (I do not expect my staff to take any form of bullying in the work place - and that includes from customers).

If people are polite and courteous the staff are briefed to do as much as they can including gestures of good-will and, if the customer is still unhappy, to escalate it.

Again I was very polite, but the 3rd call to an Indian call centre to a man who could not understand my complaint, gets your goat, I did as someone kindly suggested asked for a number for compliances, she was great understood me, said she would immediatley credit my account the 3.95 and then gave me a number to write on a slip of paper to put in with the top, she then said someone would collect it the next day, they turned up five days late, but hey ho its gone and we will see what happens.

    thanks
