    Hi

We live in the Blackpool area and know of sites where you can live for so many months a year and then they tend to either go on holiday or move into temp rental accomodation for the weeks the site has to shut.

There are also sites where you can live all year but you can probably buy a small house for the same price as the mobile homes.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck:rotfl: :rotfl:

Pretty run down, with not many local jobs due to decline of cotton industry.

There are a few park home sites around here. They are permanent residences, not like a mobile home site. Here's one that's for sale near me.

  • Hi Ive also looked in to doing this. What I found was most sites are for the retired/semi retired. I did find one that wasnt for the retire/semi retired called Little Lakes in Bewdley, Worcestershire. The homes on this site range from £6500 but for that money they will only have a few years life in them. You have to replace homes every 25 yrs and you can only live on the site for 11 months. I think the site fees were £3000 per year approx.

is there anything to stop you just going on hoiday for a month at some point in the year ?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

There are often high hidden costs involved in buying a static caravan.

For example, after a certain number of years, you may have to part-ex your home and buy another one off the owner (if you want to stay of course). the resale value will be next to nothing.

Any maintenance must be carried out by owner-approved contractors often at inflated prices.

If, say, you have a nice view but it gets blocked by a new load of caravans, it costs a fortune to relocate to another part of the site.

There are lots of these and other tricks that park owners use and you should do plenty of research before diving in. Or it could all turn horrible.
