At the moment what you pay is made up of the tariff deal you have signed up for and the bolt-on, so you would be charged each month for these (even if you call it PAYG, it is probably a tariff with only 1 months notice required). The bolt-on is usually the data that you get a set amount for a certain charge with the tariff you have chosen.

Yep that makes sense, so what did they want to do?

Oh probably problems everyone is used to with cars lol..
As I'm sure you remember, only passed my test four months ago.

MOT day today and although it failed it was all ok, wasn't major. Need a tyre. Main thing was cv joint not secure on both sides, so I took it to a nearby garage and work was all done, so thought everything fine.
Then tonight I dropped OH off for a work night out and on my way home my exhaust just like dropped :( I was well embarrassed driving with the noise and going well slow coz it was dragging.

I feel a bit peeved coz it was all fine before everyone messed about with it today, and nothing picked up in advisory or anything on MOT, plus I never heard any rattling or anything before, but I guess just one of those things. Gotta get it all sorted before re test on thurs and just arghhh...lol. Would be ok if OH was any good at this stuff, will have to see what he thinks tomorrow.

Thanks for caring x I'm ok

Oh nictrinwyn, that's not good, have had that happen to me before. I wonder if everything was securely tightened after they did the work. It may be something as easy as a rubber band thingy has come off near the back of the car, have had that happen on my car. But also had the awful that's the end of the exhaust let's fall off on my old Fiesta.

A SGO does not remove PR from parents, but the order gives the SGO holders enhanced PR so they are able to over rule parents in the best interest of the child. They are both legally responsible to meeting the needs of the children, but it is not as clear cut as this.

If the LA placed or where instrumental in the placement they have a duty to undertake a financial assessment which is means tested and to provide a support package which includes the assessed financial need. The LA will re-assess each year.

The holders of the SGO are ALSO able to claim benefits (subject to them meeting the entitlement threshold). The SGO allowance does not have to be disclosed to benefits.

    Hope this helps

I understand SGOs. I'm not sure that that's what's been granted in this case or if guardianship has been given by the parents.....agreed with SS, is permanent, temporary. Guardianship can take many forms. SGOs are legally binding because they are done through the courts, some other guardianship agreements aren't.

If any1 sees a bridge or slr camera on the clearance offers in T, please give me a big nudge if not buying it, as dh has said this is what he would like for his birthday. Tia

:grouphug: I understand your woes, had exactly the same problem 4 weeks ago. Thankfully one of my brothers is a mechanic so he sorted the CV joints before he did the MOT. If it rattles most when you go round a corner they need looking at again. I wish he sorted out the heating in the car too, been bloody freezing this month (I have to keep the windows ajar to stop the inside misting up, fan has gone too).

The guardianships are a temporary inform way of delegating PR, SS are involved in this matter so unless S20 there is no delegating.

I agree it is not clear what orders are in place, but they still should get financial support (dependent on the means test) under IRO/RO, SGO or under ICO/CO subject to reg 24.

I'm hoping there's no glitch, for at least a day:D, so this thread lasts!:rotfl:

I'm no chatterbox this time - blame my phone service! My posts per day have even gone down from around 15 and a half to just over 14. Seem to have had a better (or worse) time with that tonight. Anyway...no more posts from me for now, I'll leave you to find those glitches (...to brighten up my New Year thread after 9o'clock tomorrow night;):rotfl::D).
what if you don't get a phone service tomorrow.
don't expect us to wait for you  :rotfl:

cars are a bum :( they're never happy......Ive had the exhaust thing. On the plus side you sound like a boy racer until you get it fixed :D:rotfl:

No doubt it won't be cheap but that's the hassles of driving in anything that's less than a perfect car. If it helps I shut my big car door the other day and I was sat there with an open door and a handle in my hand :o:rotfl:

I hope you had a nice Christmas :o
