help please
On my daughters birthday present list are jazzy socks so she stops stealing BFs so I was looking on Amazon at various socks in a box - didn't realise there was so many versions of them. The striped ones look the best, mix and match. I know they are overpriced and you can quite easily get a dozen pairs from Primark for that much
But it won't be what she is expecting so it will have the novelty element and Ive got Amazon credit
any other suggestions?
Also a Radley umbrella - she says I choose which one. now I am kicking myself because I could have got her the one matching her wellies when she bought those in October but I trout it would be one of those presents her future in-laws would have got.
So I've got to look at Radly umbrella websites today and I've probably missed any sales.
I think I get asked for the practical presents as the future in-laws do the over priced indulgent and glamorous ones :rotfl:
for Christmas they gave daughter and her BF a Tassimo which has actually worked in my favour as I won 6 packs last year so that's another birthday present“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
itsasecret66, hope your Grandma is okay x
We have Grandma stress too. She's 91 and a terrible worrier. We heard last Thursday that her nursing home is closing at the end of the month  There are 22 residents who'll need to find new accommodation and 45 staff who'll be joblessMum has rung around all of the care homes in her town and they are all full already  Not sure what will happen.... Mum been on to the council/SS so hopefully we'll get a plan soon.
♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -
Thank you mrs stinkface and Logie. Hope your grandma gets settled soon, it is very stressful for them as they get older isn't it. Just phoned mum and she is so worried they won't let her in until 2 pm. Grandma gets so confused when she is stressed , she was bad enough last night when they wouldn't let her have a cup of tea.
I had better get on or I will be late for work.
Off to addenbrookes later0 -
