Only takes half an hour to plan the whole week, and the days are interchangeable tooDid you allocate yourself a full calorie allowance on non-fast days?I didn't lose anything much for the first couple of weeks but then it started to come down steadily at around 2 lbs per week. I did do an extra fast day every couple of weeks if it looked like slowing down - i. Cheated a bit by weighing every day to keep a check on how it was going. It's probably worth having another go - after a week or two you should find that you want less to eat on your non fast days.
I was reading an article about this yesterday. The average person drops down to 25% of normal intake on the fast days and compensates a bit on eating days to 110% of normal intake. On 5:2 that averages to 85.6% of normal weekly food intake= losing some weight. If you up it one week to a 4:3 diet the average drops to 73.6% of normal intake=losing a bit more weight.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
