She was unfortunately in a home for the last couple of months as she could no longer cope at home as she kept falling over. You should have tasted her sherry trifles (but only if you weren't driving!.
I re-created them this Christmas, but my little helpers (AKA DGDs) insisted they had sherry free trifles?? What's that about?0 -

I so read that as 'mousse' and it was as in a pot of mousse not the animal! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was going to do Avon but was put off by the area rep woman. I signed up online and from what it said, I was expecting an e-mail or post package explaining about it. Instead this woman turns up unannounced on my doorstep and clearly expected to be welcomed in despite her having made no appointment and me standing there in my PJs!
I fobbed her off to get her to go away but then she kept ringing and texting me, bombarding me to 'encourage' me to join :eek::eek: I ignored her since all she was doing was making me want to run away screaming, then she turned up at my house AGAIN! I can't imagine what she'd be like as a boss so I just fobbed her off again, I HATE being put on the spot and she KEPT doing it!
I am considering becoming a rep still but once the weather's nicer and certainly not with her! :rotfl:
:
I've heard some horror stories about doing avon but I figured that as I'm not working anything that's going to bring in some extra pennies is worth trying.
My rep was absolutely useless. I'm on my 4th campaign as I only started in November. I've met her twice- both times she was 45 minutes late and didn't bother texting to say. The 1st time I had to do a return I had no idea what I was doing so I text her. She still hasn't replied to this day. She has now left to work a different area and I've no idea who my new area manager is. Considering I'm such a newbie I don't really appreciate being thrown in the deep end with absolutely no help.
The commission is carp really, especially in the 1st few campaigns as you gave to pay the start up fees. You also have to pay for all the brochures, bags etc.
Saying that the hours are fitted around my day. I pop out when I can and although my regulars are few and far between I've still made a few quid. I'm not going to get rich anytime soon though. If you have friends and family who are interested then it could def be worthwhile.
