I have not downloaded IO7 yet either on mine for exactly the same reason - worried about it slowing things down.
OH says its up to version 3 already!
I did have slowness and having the other day - totally unknown on the iPad so OH said to do a cookie and history clean, shut down and re open and that sorted it - I don't think that was the actual problem though

Also gutted about the Medic Animal James Wellbeloved food error ... what annoys me most is the total fib in their email which says the error was up "for a short period of time". That's not true at all - I ordered some at that price one day and my mum the next day - they are hardly on the ball, if an error can stay up for that long!
