Sorry for being so insensitive, I must read back before posting in future.
Hi Helen,
I guarantee no one will think you have been insensitive for anything you might have said. It's the nature of the thread that by the time you have written your post several other people could have posted other stuff.

Found out yesterday that she's been bidding on house's and one has come up (she has to call about it on the 5th) which means I'll be homeless!!! She went to see her parents last night (I don't get on with them!) and she came home at 9am this morning. She's packed a bag and gone back to her parents house. Just checked and our bank account has been cleared. Sorry if this is bringing the thread down but I need somewhere to take my mind off things. I've got a stinking hangover, so it's just as well she's taken my car.
Sorry peeps, I'll see you in a bit.
I don't blame you getting steamed.
All I can say is try to get your head around it today, formulate a list of what needs to be done tomorrow and try not to worry too much xxxx100 -

i know i will be in the minority with my view on this but surely the opening hours are enough at mo.the problem is shops will not take on extra staff to cover longer opening hours, the existing staff will probably have to change shifts and do longer hours on a sunday with little option to decline those hours.if the goverment go back on their word and change sunday trading there will be alot of unhappy shop staff.:(0 -

Oh scamps, so sorry to read this, sending you virtual hugs. From your post, as she's been bidding on properties, it sounds like you're renting, maybe from HA or Council? Are you joint tenants? Have a look at your tenancy agreement, HA or Council landlord may not be able to discuss tenancy but may give you advice about what to do next, if you give them a call tomorrow. Definitely ring the bank as soon as they open and get the joint account frozen, from experience here too."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

What midwinter said scamps. I'm sure it's not legal for her to clear out your bank account (even if it is joint) and she certainly can't take a car if it's in your name. I'm very sorry this has happened to you and especially at this time of year.
I do hope there is someone you can stay with for the time being whilst you get your affairs in order. We'll all be here for you.
I'm not sure about the bank account thing but it must be a joint account and I have a nasty feeling that either party would have complete access to the account and can take out as much cash as they want. Another worrying aspect is that if Scamps wife chooses, she could go overdrawn and then Scamps would remain jointly liable for the cash.
When my ex and I split up I was advised to close the joint account down incase he overdrew on the funds and left me with a debt - the Bank wouldn't let me do that as they had to have instructions from both of us and he was out of the country and not contactable. I took out exactly half of the funds and the Bank put some sort of block on the account (its a long time ago and the details are a bit vague now).
Scamps wife seems intent on screwing all the funds and property out of him so he needs to see what the bank can do to block the account even if she's already taken the lot.ELITE 5:2
