morning all, I also missed the Mr Shoes glitch what a windy day out there, can here the wind whistling & my front gate banging, now the rain is lashing at the windows along with the wind, seems like today is a day i just want to stay in bed! ....oh! but today is also a day which my 17 year old wants to drag me from shop to shop hunting for bargain with her! me dont wanna go out in that nasty, nasty rain!, me wanna stay with you guys hunting out bargains & glitches in the warm drinking coffee

The day before New year's eve we declutter and clean the house from top to bottom. Time to be ruthless and clear out the junk and it doesn't usually take long Nothing better than starting a new year with that done.

It also gives time to reflect on the year gone by - personal highs, lows, things you have learnt about yourself - good or bad. Also where you'd like the next year to take you - goals, aim, aspirations, take forward the good stuff and try to leave some negative baggage behind.

If you do set resolutions - be specific as studies have shown that you are more likely to succeed.

Good morning westie that's a really good idea. It's all on the radio that the third Monday of January lot's of people give up on their goals and feel worse about themselves.

I had friend that told me to make my goals SMART , specific measurable achievable realistic and time bound, this really helps me to not prcastinate.

Hope everyone is well....looks cold outside today.

Been up since 6am with littleman:eek: runny nose and a bad cough again:(

So were snuggled on the sofa watching Cars.....again!

Had a fabulous shop in mr t yesterday. Only went in for bread and Calpol but came out with lots of reduced chicken, pork loin steaks, sausages, mince, beef, one of the cheese and wine gift sets, grapes, tomatoes, peppers... I spent £12 and got 3 carriers bags full:j:j I think this was my best ever. Freezer now full again. :j

12 months ago I would never have entertained buying reduced meat...but at £1.20 a pack and then the 3 for £10/ 2 for £7 discount who could resist:rotfl:.

So I'm now declaring the month of January as a "spend only on essentials month" in my house to use up what we have. Lets see if I can make it:rotfl:

I bought mr monkey an after shave gift set for Christmas, exclusive to b00ts....with 2 different versions in it, I tested them in the shop first and bought the boxed set. On Christmas morning he opened it...then chuckled to himself.. I asked what was funny?
It said "pour la femme" on the box!!!! I'd only gone and picked up the female version:(:eek::rotfl:
It's okay he said "that's your birthday present sorted":rotfl:

I Was a bit upset to be honest, but he found the funny side!! Good job it wasn't his only present!
