Don't expect there will be any more to add for January so here goes.

£178.11 as mentioned in a previous post plus

    £60 from Mystery Shops
    £10 voucher from a survey
£5 in Nectar Points which will be used against food shopping

    Total for January = £253.11

    Onwards and upwards ... February.
Make £10 per day in May challenge: £310/123.92
  • Unexpected £8 from Quidco, didn't think it'd go in til next month!
Saved £3 on a multibuy in Boots today.

Puts me up to £50.39 for the month. Not a great effort but every little helps. Feb will be another slow month as still away so nothing to eBay but expect to cash out at least £25 in vouchers.

    Make £5/day challenge: August £84.08/155
    I owe £5400 (plus £
    34,000 Student Finance)

  • Can anyone give me any ideas on what to sell on ebay to reach a higher amount in Feb? This month I've been selling any old unworn clothes, and they go for 99p - £2 ish. A few people post really high sales so just wondering what are good earners??

    Thanks

Over the past 6 months I have sold a range of things on ebay. Some things I am happy to list and just get £1 - £2 for it and other items have gone for a much higher price. Here is an example of sorts of things I have sold:

Kid Clothes (worn) - Next sells well and sometimes sell individually for a few quid each or have sold in larger bundles some of which have gone for nearer to £40

My clothes (used) - Next, Warehouse, Oasis, Coast, M&S, H&M, Dorothy Perkins & again prices can vary from £2 - £3 for used tops or more "everyday" items up to £35 for a dress. I have just sold a leather jacket that had been worn a few times for £66. Also sold some walking trousers (craghoppers) which are too big now for £14.

    Handbags

Shoes & Boots (worn but in reasonable condition) both mine and the kids.

Toys (new from duplicate gifts and used) - playmobile, lego, board games, jigsaw puzzles, "charachter" toys, even sold some soft toys which surprised me.

Items listed as collection only (old camping kit, baby items, toddler bed, old table)

Toilettery items / unwanted gift sets. Bought a posh conditioner in the debenhams sale reduced from £16 to £4. Used a couple of times and didnt suit my hair. Sold that on for £6.

I have sold some books on there too but find text books /more unusual books sell better as more widely available paperbacks etc are ten a penny and tend not to sell as well.

DVD's - can be anything from 99p and upwards depending on what it is.

Old DS games, Xbox games etc

Sold a few wierd things (had an old cluedo game with parts missing which was destined for the bin but listed and sold the detective pad for £3 and a set of the murder weapon cards for £2)

Before I get rid of stuff now I generally check its "ebayability" by doing a search and clicking on the "sold items" option to see what similar things have sold for to see if it is worth listing or not.
  • I think I may just get the target, just waiting for tomorrow to come and I'll update.
Also February is already looking good as I've sold some bits which are due to be collected and paid at the weekend :)
