hi there,
i'm moving into my first flat that i have to buy a cooker and fridge freezer for. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some good deals for products that are also good quality.
I went to Comet today and found that getting a cooker will probably be about 300 pounds ish and a fridge freezer around 250 ish. I want to get a 60 cm wide electric cooker. They seem to have a price for 3 years and 5 years for product cover and i looked on the john lewis website and they do a cheaper flat fee for 5 years, but im just a bit confused as to what to go for. ive just found a New world cooker at curry's here is the link http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2062097525.1182628758@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdeaddlfdhijfhcflgceggdhhmdgmk.0&page=Product&fm=5&sm=3&tm=0&sku=974262&category_oid
which seems like a good deal in the sale but i cant find any details about warranty and product cover. im not sure if it is actually in fact the same cooker as the new world one they sell at comet which is RRP at 349.99 here is the link http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=341797
does anyone know which shops are good and which are bad when it comes to if your product breaks down and you need a repair job?
could anyone help with suggestions with buying a cooker and fridge freezer?
also, im registered disabled and in receipt of DLA and incapacity benefit, does anyone know if i can get help from any grants or trusts to help with thes setting up of living costs? i have asked my social worker who i would have thought would know and she doesnt.
thanks very much, katharine
