Found, the Yahoo log-out on tablet.

Users have complained in their thousands that when using yahoo mail on their tablets, that the app dosen't provide a log-out facility.
Some people have said "ignore the app and enter yahoo mail via your browser, type yahoo mail, that way". That is reasonably ok but you only get your inbox, delete, compose & log-out.
However, I am fairly confident that I have solved this annoying issue.
Enter yahoo mail via their app. All you are familiar is there. When ready to log-out, at the top left is your email address. Click on that. Click on Manage Account, it will say "Account is open", on the top right, it will say "Delete account", click on that and your email is closed.
It isn't closed, well maybe it is to anyone else, because when you return to yahoo and click on the app, you sign in as usual.
IN MY OPINION, YAHOO ARE GUILTY OF A MISS-USE OF WORDS AND AS A RESULT, HAVE CAUSED MUCH WORRY AND CONCERN.
Do let me know if this works for you.

Sorry, but I'm not going to try this, selecting "delete account".
I might Google and find this however would not select "Delete Account".
Or even:All you have to do is:
1-Go in settings
2-Go to applications
3-Click on Y! Mail
4-Click clear data
Or force stop the application.0 -

I have done this umpteen times today on my galaxy tab 3 and it works everytime. My son-in-law tells me this is how hotmail operate by saying delete account, only trouble with them is that they actually do delete account if youvdont log back in with 30 days.

If you don't think this is correct, I'm tempted to ask which route you use to access your yahoo email account on your tablet and how you log out.
what you might like to consider is this. Install the app, then try my suggestion. If I am right, thrn sobeit. If you are right and your account disappears, then you eill sti

Just out of interest OP, why is there a need to sign out at all? I am curious as I am getting a tab 3 for christmas and use yahoo. Currently on my laptop I never log out, just remain logged in permanently.

Portable device, taken out an about, paranoid about it being stolen and the thief being able to access sensitive info?0

For me personally, no. Although bod1467 has a point, because when doing my investigstion for the elusive logout button, that was the prime reason given by almost everyone.
When at home, I also never log out of my laptop.
Olius. Don't know if you're familiar with the galaxy, but for me, being a really oldie, I'm finding it great, in fact it's hardly ever outvof my hand. You might have read it takes about 8hrs to charge, you can forget that, it's about 5max. Once you've set it to run your way, it is great. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi sillygoose, after a period of non-use, I used it whilst away with family and became hooked. Read on mse about this tab3 model being excellent and found the cheapest. £179. Took my ideal world tablet and netbook to cash converters, added last years unspent xmas\birthday money to it and in real terms I paid out £4 only of my own money.
