Parking Eye Charge

Hello,

I recently received a charge from Parking Eye saying I need to pay a £70 parking charge for their 'Aldi' car park. However this is adjacent and in the same car park as the Travelodge - which I was staying.

As I turned up late from my mates and drove separate, I wasn't advised about car parking in this (as listed on website, 'FREE car parking'). Some Travelodge's require you to key in a car reg. I did not do this.

I do have a confirmation e-mail for staying in the Travelodge but it's under my mates name.

What's best? To appeal the fact that I was legitimately parked or ignore the letters?

Assuming the hotel was in England or Wales...

First thing to do is the obvious one, phone travelodge customer services with your booking reference and tell them you want it cancelled and confirmed as such within the hour.
