Why don't you ask them? Nobody on here will know how the payroll system at your new job works.

cant as they are all now on annual leave, spoke to colleagues and they all got paid early from xmas so they got paid today, I did not so I am guessing i am not going to be paid for nearly 2 months!0

Lack of a pay slip may have given the game away.0

Ask the question to your employer, not a bunch of random strangers on the internetThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Best speaking to Payroll or HR Level - there should be someone around \ on call..
Payroll may well have different cut off dates for payment month - e.g. 15-14th with paid then on the 28.. is not unknown.. but even without a full month worked would expect some kind of part payment.
As a new starter were they in receipt of all your bank details and P45? to set you up correctly..
It ought to be the case that they could make you some kind of advance rather than expect 2 month + wait..
Again if Today is the pay receipt date, then Employer should really have someone available from Payroll to deal with any queries..0 -

When you say a 'month' in hand, do you mean a month-lying-on? So the wages that people have received today is what they worked in November? I was working for English Heritage during the summer, and this how they worked (Civil Service), I started working 27th June, but didn't receive any pay until the end of August (which was explained at the interview.)0 -
OP if you are struggling for money I suggest you talk to your line manager and see if there is anyway thye can sort out a short term loan.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

why won't you be paid on 28th december with everyone else?
having said that 28/12 is a Saturday so I would expect you to be paid on 27th -the friday.
Do they have your bank details?2014 Target;

I'd expect a month in hand to mean you won't be paid until the end of January. Nothing to do with being a day short.
TBH I'd never heard of a month in hand before coming on here, a week, yes but a month seems unreasonable to me.
When OH was paid weekly a week in hand meant he'd to work two weeks before he started being paid.0 -
