Mobility Car Scheme - What do you drive?

Currently have a '96 mondeo. Due to bad back and knee i have trouble getting out of the car. Getting out i have to stand up which puts pressure on my knee. I want a car where i step down when getting out. Something with high seating.
i don't fancy a 4x4. Next step would be MPV. What do you drive and what would you recommend? Have noticed alot of mini mpv like zafira, scenic etc popular with the disabled. Prefer a family car.

Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

We have a Zafira and it's great if you have any problems getting in and out. My Dad has lung problems so got a Meriva on Motability but he also finds our car easy. My hubby had a hip replacement so finds normal cars harder to get out of and he loves ours and I have a bad back and no problems with it. Also broke my ankle this year and having a car with easy access has been a godsend.0

My Dad has problems getting in and out of the car, he's had a few MPVs like Zafira etc but his current car he says is much easier for him, Chevrolet Tacuma ? Spelling I am unsure about. One day I might be more organised...........

Mine is a ford focus 1.6 the seats are hight adjustable and i dont think there is any advanced payment on the now, mine was £250 but i received a voucher from Ford Majic to cover the payment. If yougo the the motabillity website ther loads of info on ther about the different cars available on the scheme.0

I can recommend a Renault Scenic or a Citroen Picasso.
I have a Ford Focus 1.6 with height adjustable seats which is fine too.
My advance payment was £500.
Ford don't put all of their vehicles on the Motability listing but they do have them. My model wasn't on the listing, just the £250 advance payment option. The extras included for the £250 more was air conditioning, alloy wheels, better padded seats, front-heated windscreen and heated wing-mirrors.0 -
I have air con as standard and all the other bits except the heated front windscreen and wing mirrors as i personally don't feel its worth it.0

After two vauxhall astras, I got, last week ad Citreon C4 Picasso.
Its the new 7 seater. We chose this one for the space (big boot with back two seats down), but it's really comfy to drive. Its very easy to get in and out of. Even my 80 year old gran, with bad legs and a walking stick, had no problems.
Advance payment starts at about £695 i think, we paid £895 to get the diesel.
I've had a Zafira as a hire car in the past and didn't find it half as comfy or roomy.0
