Advents - the final countdown! Door 24's are in sight!

I missed the first 4 days 'cos me and DH were in London Village, but I must admit that I haven't done half of them this time round. I think about 25% of them at a push.
For some reason, it's not so much that I can't be bothered, but it's trying to fit them all in with all my usual comping IYSWIM, and I really can't get revved up about this Christmas, whereas previous years I've been well up for it. This year just seems rather MEH!!

And I'd also like to say that I haven't won a Pringles speaker this year, the best I've done is some rather daft games. In fact, I don't think I've won anything on the advents this year, although I've not done bad on other comps.

Perhaps I'll do better next year, and hopefully be a bit more enthusiastic

I just didn't know what hit me, first year here. I've done badly and can't wait for them to end. The first week entering everything, then trying to do some kind of systems using ticks and crosses eg both marked means a definite entry each day and gradually only entering what I actually wanted to win....but still no joy.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the mass effort involved x

How come most of the advent Competitions Are finishing on the 24th ?
when I was a kid Advent Calenders always finished on the 25th

I've won a few minor prizes, kids toys mostly, and an iPod Nano - maybe not worth the effort in time but kinda fun in a masochistic sorta way :-)

I worked through OYL's lists each day (thanks so much for those!) - next year I'll be quicker to let the organiser know when threads have expired, I just assumed 'someone else would do that' but I guess most are busy trying to keep on top of entering the comps :-)

At the moment, house looks like Dorset Cereals on Day 1, this time tomorrow, it will all be crumpled wrapping like Dorset Cereals on Day 24 :-)
