good shower enclosure makes please

Hi
im looking to purchase a new shower and enclosure. Can anyone recommend a good quality shower base and enclosure brand and which ones to avoid. I don't know what brands are a good quality and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to spend a fortune and find out that it's of poor quality. The one that we have just removed to a Fordham. Are the ones in like Homebase etc anygood? or is it best to go to a private showroom? We need a shower tray which can be raised.

Matki are a very high quality brand. I have fitted a couple of enclosures and a door. Very well made, well balanced. Use brass rather than cheaper aluminium for components.

In my last house I had an Aqualux that I was very happy with. Having recently moved I was going to have the same brand again, but ended up getting a Bristan enclosure as I got quite a good deal on it.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
