  • As my brother doesn't really know what he's doing with the insurance (don't ask!) he called up & put it on lousdpeaker.

Interestingly, he was told by the employee that he couldn't upgrade his policy mid term to "FULLY Comprehensive" (he asked to upgrade to just comprehensive) as he'd had a claim this year.

    :)

Advisor was correct, majority of companies only allow you to downgrade cover mid-term x

My excess has gone up to £75 for replacement and £10 for repairs.

Another thing i found interesting was that when he called for quotes yesterday to upgrade he got someone from (not wanting to upset anyone overly sensitive, so i'll just say...) the east & they said here's your price.

He calls today, gets someone English & gets told you can't do it.

Bottom line is - why mess about with foreign call centres who don't know what they're on about?

There's plenty of UK call centres that don't know what they're on about. Just because someone talks like they are from "...the east" does not make them incompetent. Just ask anyone from Norwich :p
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

There should be a snore smiley for this :T

No matter what you say, there'll always be an MSE member to try & pull it apart. Finicky bunch.

Yes, nobody is perfect. Not even UK call centres. However i have had much less trouble with UK based call centres over the years than eastern ones.

Is that one better for you? :) Or have the edges of my post not been rounded quite enough for your taste? :D
