Family holiday, where to go!?

Hello
We are going to book our first holiday together, but not sure where to go. Its me, my OH and our nearly 2 year old son.
We want to go in either April or May, all inclusive, at a nice hotel, preferably with stuff for kids there too. A creche would be ideal for a few hours for one of the days we are away.
I am considering egypt, but can't really find anything below £1200 for the 3 of us. So my options are open to the likes of Turkey, Malta, Morocco.
Weather wise we would like it to be hot enough for a tan, but not to scouldering because of the little one. Although we will be taking a gallon of sun block for him no matter where we go.
Ideally I want to be spending between £700 - £1000. Preferably aswell i'd like to be able to pay a deposit, then pay it off over the next few months.
Any advice? xx

With a child of that age I would go for the shortest flight time possible, so if you left it until May, you can't go wrong with the Balearics. As you can see by my username, I am very fond of Ibiza. Don't believe all the hype about the place. It's ideal for families with children of any age. My nephew and his wife took their two year old to our usual hotel this year and absolutely loved it. Majorca and Minorca are also ideal. The weather in May is good while not being too hot.0

Surely you can put the money aside yourself if the holiday company won't let you drip-pay.
Majorca is nice for kiddies, Alcudia is a good family area.0 -
I would agree with the Balearics as the flight is short. For Ibiza try the Tropic Garden Resort in Santa Eulalia as it has plenty for littles ones and is a decent all inclusive. There are quite a few family friendly hotels in Santa Eulalia and Es Cana that would be suitable.
Majorca as the above poster has said is also good, in Alcudia try taking a look at the Viva Hotels (Viva Tropic, Viva Sunrise and Viva Gardens I think) which are just outside the main centre but close to the beach and with plenty nearby too. Santa Ponsa is another good option and for a family friendly cheap and cheerful hotel consider the Complejo Calas de Mallorca hotel.
Mainland Spain is a good option, but I would suggest sticking to the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca at that time of year as the northern costas can still be a bit hit and miss weather wise.
I think you will be able to find something for around the £1000-1200 mark on all inclusive but £700 for a decent all inclusive with creche etc might be a bit difficult. Remember there are 2 weeks of school holidays in April for Easter and Half Term at the end of May so check the exact dates and then avoid them to reduce the costs.I am a Travel Agent

I got some good advice here

We were going to go to Malta in May for the heat but decided that there wasn't enough for the kids to do (will be almost 2 and 3.5 next Summer).
We are trying to hold out until June now so that we can get the better weather in Spain (don't fancy April or May when it is a little chillier)0 -
Agent?? ......old enough for my bones to feel the cold .0

I personally wouldn't recommend going all inclusive and would probably suggest going self catering as you will save a lot more and a lot of the all inclusive food is repeated in different forms in meals throughout the day whereas in self catering you can choose what you want to eat, when you want to eat and where and i think its a better experience.

going on the 26th April and coming back on the 3rd from Manchester to Majorca (just a random guess on airport) you can get return flights for 77 each so 231 for the 3 - going with ryanair, coming back with monarch. Might have some baggage costs though depending on bags. then travelrepublic have viva sunrise premium apartment for 867 so would come in at 1098. Or if you have the viva sunrise as a self catering you can get it for 282 so 513 (allow 50 or so for transfers through resort hoppa i think it is and you'd need to factor in baggage too) and it would leave you over 600 for the week to eat and drink as you like:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Chose carefully. The difference in weather between early April and late May in the Balearics can be dramatic.0

May would have better weather and can be great value if you avoid the Bank Hoidays, look at Alcudia on Majorca.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
