Goods sold through Amazon

I am on the lookout for a decent bluetooth headset, and had my eyes out for a Plantronics M50. I always look on Amazon for price fluctuations, and usually looked at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-M50-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B005GZL7RY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1FPQXDZ431JED&coliid=I6UTZS8KFLICK, but I stumble upon this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-M50-Bluetooth-Headset-Packaged/dp/B00E8UMTTI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1FPQXDZ431JED&coliid=I2BU36AUSDGDLS
but although it is on Amazon, the price differential is very wide and I wouldn't want to purchase a knock-off.
If that would be the case, would Amazon be responsible if the seller refuses to return?
I understand the cheaper item is bulk packaged, but nowhere does it mention it is second hand or refurbished.
Any advice?

I typed out a response and then deleted it because I'm not too sure anymore. Plenty of things seem to say "fake" but a bit of research shows Amazon.com themselves selling it for $26.99 in retail packaging so the price isn't abnormally low. They do only have 23 feedback though.
Amazons A to Z (?) system should cover you if the seller does a runner but you may get more helpful replies on the eBay board.0 -
I have recently had this situation with a Samsung phone cover, where the order was 'fulfilled by Amazon'. It was a pretty blatant fake, so I spoke to Amazon CS via live chat and was instantly offered a refund.0

Its fulfilled by Amazon which means they take over the shipping and customer service. So it comes under Amazons usual returns policy and you don't need to go through A to Z.0
