Halifax Cashback, stores and rates

UPDATED 24/12/13
I've started this thread as a point of reference for Halifax cashback (extra) so at least we know what is available. The scheme is a ctach 22 as you don't know what the offers are until you spend at a store (and then it might be too late). Hopefully with this list we can try to trigger getting an offer before making a big purchase (I can't think of anything more annoying than getting a cashback offer AFTER making a big purchase).
Please post your offer details, store and rate, in subsequent posts. I'll try to keep this post updated as a single point of reference.
Note that offer rate vary per offer so for example with Argos you might get 15% one time and 10% the next.
Texaco 1%, 3%, 4%
Play 10%
Argos 5%, 10%, 15%
Body Shop 8%, 10%
Domino Pizza 5%
Morrisons 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%
Sunglasses Shop 8%
Homebase 7%
Spafinder 10%
Asos 10%
Oliver Bonas 10%
Oasis 15%
eMusic 50%
Coast 10%
For those who don't know (me until my daughter showed me her offers), you get an offer of say "Argos 10% off next purchase, expires 7 Jan". You click to activate that offer (I think it is limited to 3 offers active at one time) and then pay with debit card (or credit card if main card holder).
I'm not sure what the latter means, it sounds like only the main card holder can get offers and use them so another annoyance if it is a Morrison's offer and it's the wife shopping as second card user.

Right, well this is confusing as Halifax says the offers are triggered by your spending at a store. Maybe if you spend at Morrisons they offer you Morrisons and Sainsburys (or maybe just Sanbusys if I have my cynic hat on).0

I rarely use my Halifax card, but as an experiment I used it in Boots and Superdrug. A few weeks later I've got my first ( and only) offer in Body Shop. I suppose they thought that a person who may be buying toiletries may also like to shop in Body Shop.
This offer runs out on 10/01/2014, so I might look in Body Shops sale, as I like their body butters.
My theory is that if you shop in somewhere similar, you may get an offer for one on their list.
Although, having said that, I'm thinking of making a small Argos purchase with my Halifax card, to see if I can get an Argos offer, as I want to buy a breadmakerEarly retired - 18th December 2014

You need to check your online banking on a regular basis to activate your offers. You should then have prior warning as to which shops you have offers on and the length of time you have.
I have earned just over £7 on purchases I would have made so very pleased at getting that amount back for nothing...

"Just remember that offers will be matched to your debit or credit card spending. That means cashback offers shown in Online Banking will vary from person to person and you might not see offers from every retailer you see here."
To me that can trigger offers in different ways.
1) Stores that you never shop at trying to get you to switch.
2) Stores that you've shopped at in the past wanting you to return.
3) Stores that you regularly use that want to reward your loyalty.
Each retailer involved will have its own objectives around which customers it's after. There will, for something so new, be a lot of test strategies going on within customer segments. So some will get bigger offers than others. Different offers to others. The retailers can then assess which offers have best delivered on what they wanted.
There will be a lot of complex information behind the scenes driving who gets what offers. I can't see why it should move to a one size fits all approach.0 -

I think that is one of the most useful offers - have you used your card at Argos recently? I'm trying to work out the best way to trigger this offer !Early retired - 18th December 2014

I've currently got:
Morrisons 20%
Sunglasses Shop 8%
Argos 10%
Texaco 1%
I have never shopped at Morrisons or the Sunglasses Shop. Not sure why they think I might want to buy sunglasses in December

Yes I did - I originally got a 10% one off purchase cash-back, which I used on some Xmas presents and I then got a multiuse 5% one which runs out on the 31st December.
