Help Needed! Re: Aldi Remote Sockets (old version, not the ones sold this year)

I have a set of Aldi remote sockets, bought a couple of years ago. They have two buttons on the front above the function light. One of these is of a remote control and the other is a circle with a line from the center upwards, as if noon on a clock. I describe these as they are different in appearance to the newest version. On the back of the socket I need to re-set, it quotes E45086 11/12 90086 20001728, I don't know if that helps identify the version or not.
I have lost the instruction for these :doh:and cannot find any online to download , so I'm hoping someone may have some and be able to help me.
I need to re-program a setting for one of them and need to know how to delete the code currently allocated, then re-do.
If anyone can help me I would be really grateful.
Many thanks and A Very Merry Christmas To All :xmastree::xmassign:

complete guess - press the remote on button on the unit, and the handheld remote [on] to pair. Also check there are no reset/pairing buttons in the battery compartment etc.

The other button (clocklike) is maybe manual override on/off

  • Thanks for replying, unfortunately I tried this, didn't work... Really stumped.
  • and the other is a circle with a line from the center upwards, as if noon on a clock

This does sound like the normal picture for an on/off button.

Have you tried pressing this to ensure that the unit is turned on then doing as closed suggested?

Quite probably useless advice but worth a few seconds trying it...

I don't have those but the way you set mine up is to plug it in then press and hold the on button on the remote until it locks (a light on mine flashes when not set).

Yeah, one is a manual on/off button, the other is to program which button on the remote operates that unit. If the same as the ones I had:
Keep this button pressed whilst pressing one of the "on" buttons (numbered 1 to 4) on the remote - release the button. that ought to do it.
(obviously the unit must be plugged in and power to it)
