Cheap flights?

Evening all
Is there a "cheapest" day to get flights to New York on in march? I turn 40 next year and would love to go but the budgets tight... I'm looking at some options but if anyone can give me some pointers? We, the two of us, can go any time in March, if that makes any difference...
Thanks all, and have a fantastic Christmas xx

4th March to 18th March is 341 with US airways but there is 2 stops both ways and it will take 14 hours. Cheapest direct is 370 with United Airlines. BAs cheapest is 413. Found it through travelsupermarket. Not sure how long you want to go for, but if its a week 11th to 18th its the same. If you play around with the dates it can make a lot of difference as I know 2 years ago I went to Bangkok for 420 when the cheapest after that was 600 odd. Its just timing when it comes to flights. Thats from Manchester by the way. I normally put Manchester, London and Birmingham and it usually brings up the cheapest:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one

Last minute flight option can throw up some good bargains sometimes too:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

one of the biggest problems going to America is the taxes on both sides for the flights. You could then have this hotel http://www.booking.com/hotel/us/pennsylvania-new-york.en-us.html?aid=342515;sid=dadc33b77701cb7303e6032bbe935187;dcid=1;fs=1;
for 480 so it would work out 580 each for a week in New York. You can travel around the US cheap on the subway (i think it was around 10 dollars to go on the subway from the airport but its been a while since i was there) and this hotel is central to most so would save travel costs too.
Have a fab birthday!:T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:
