Non delivery of Schuh items

My neighbour ordered and paid for a pair of girl's shoes for her little girl's Christmas and they have not been delivered. She contacted company about the non-delivery and they claim they have been delivered and signed for. She has been told to prove she hasn't received them and they won't provide a copy of the signature but have stated that delivery note was signed using her name. Any advice about what to do next?

The Sale of Goods Act states in Section 20, subsection 4 :

In a case where the buyer deals as consumer or, in Scotland, where there is a consumer contract in which the buyer is a consumer, subsections (1) to (3) above must be ignored and the goods remain at the seller’s risk until they are delivered to the consumer.

What nonsense. How can she prove that she didn't take receipt of them if they won't release the signature to her?? They need to investigate. The onus isn't on her to do so.
