Vet reviews

Hi all,

Where do you go to check out and post vet reviews? I'm looking for a large, popular website, because Google gives me a billion websites with only one or two reviews on each. I think yelp has been the most useful so far, but is there a more popular site that I've not heard of? I've had a bad experience with the same vet practice twice now, and really want to spread the word about them.

I'd be interested in this too.

If it helps anyone decide which vets to entrust the care of their pets to, it can only be a good thing.

It would be good if there was an online vet review. It'd be good to get recommendations for the types of pets we have. For example a vet that is an amazing dog vet might not be the greatest rabbit vet. I recently took one of our rabbits to a new vet and asked him questions to suss out whether he knew what he was doing. The greatest thing was, he didn't. But he admitted that, and said they have another vet in the practice who tends to take on all the rabbit cases and operations (our buck is booked in for neutering on Monday).

OP have you raised your concerns with the relevant vets practice? It seems unfair to be posting bad reviews without giving them the chance to put things right first.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • I will, but they can't actually rectify incompetence, now can they? I need to give myself a bit of time to cool off and work out how to word my complaint wisely, but in the meantime I would like to spread a word of warning about their general incompetence. I'm not the sort of person to wage a hate campaign or torch them online, but I would like to post a review.
  • I tend to visit a vet for something simple before needing them for more important visits. You can get a good idea what they are like from the clientele, any 'thank you' cards and, of course, how they are with your pets.

I found my local Medivet to perform quite poorly, whereas my smaller, local vets are excellent.
