Nation zoom virus

Hi,
A friend has somehow managed to get something called Nation Zoom into his laptop!
He has followed all the online advice but to no avail!
His computer now opens to the above instead his choice of Yahoo news.
Can anybody please tell me if/how the above is bad (?) and how he can get rid of it?

Have you run AdwCleaner? http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner

If so, reset browser settings.

Edit: And oh, it's a search engine. Not a virus.

I had the same problem.
You can easily remove it using AdwCleaner (free) or\and manually.

the link you posted above is nearly as bad as the virus it purports to fight.

the download your link leads to is called spyhunter. The website you link to uses godaddy. Spyhunter can definately be defined as "scareware" at the very least.

It's not a virus but a browser hijacker. Use Malwarebytes.

OK, I assume you would like to get rid of Nation Zoom malware for free. I've recently had the same problem with my browser. I got this Nation Zoom virus through some spam email link (which I mistakenly clicked). I googled this problem and finally found this guide - deletevirus.net/remove-nation-zoom-browser-hijacker-for-free/

Well, it was mentioned that this program can remove malwares for free within 15 days, so this is what I did. I scanned my PC with it, then clicked "Tools" and "Reset browser settings". This did the job very well, and so I don't have Nation Zoom in my Firefox anymore.

The OP doesn't want directing to affiliate sites that are ultimately trying to push paid for programs or services.
