January sales - Holidays?

Does anyone know if holiday providers, also join in with Jan sales? :j
Were going to book our first holiday in April / May, but want to get a good deal. If they do do sales, are they ones where you have to pay there and then? I'd rather pay a deposit (not to hefty), then pay over the next few coming months.
Thanks

BA holidays sale has started. I think you can sometimes pay a deposit with them.0

I don't know for sure but I thought some offered deals in December because people are too busy thinking about Christmas to book holidays. Therefore they entice people in with deals then whereas loads of people book anyway in January.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Yes have to agree with Kynthia, January is peak booking time so although prices should still be fairly good, new edition brochures will be coming out which may be higher than previous ones. December is quietest time in travel but it terms of sales, it will not make a huge difference as there are various offers throughout the years...apart from kids holidays which are never great...most holiday companies will take a deposit & balances are usually due between 12-14 weeks before travel. Good luck.0

Virgin have a one day sale today offering 10% off holidays.
However from looking at it, it is on specific dates only for a specific amount of days, which considering they are only giving 10% off for such limited options seems a bit of a rip off.
I can only hope they'll be doing a proper sale later.0 -
Jet2 Holidays have again offered £100.00 per couple off 2014 Holidays, starts tommorrow and lasts till ?
We used this last year and had two holidays ( it was the wifes 60th,we normally only have one hol. a year )so saved £200.00!
Hope this helps.

If you are talking about the main package companies then the next 2 months are the busiest of the year and so discounts and special deals will be available with them all. So kind of a January sale!
As soon as Christmas is out of the way then the TV adverts start, saw the new Thomas Cook one today, not seen the Thomson one yet.
Both of these companies have save up to £300 per couple on offer for summer holidays so worth a look. Thomsons also are offering low deposits.
The new brochures are already out, they came out mid December.:beer:0 -
you are often better off cost wise to book it all yourself as the only difference is that you won't have someone to book it for you (not a bad thing as you get all the savings) and you won't have a rep in resort (but after having many reps the main thing i can say about most is unless you are buying there overpriced trips they couldn't give a monkeys about you). Check something like travelrepublic to get a rough idea of cheap flights and hotels and check around to see if it is the cheapest then check with travelsupermarket to see if a package holiday would be cheaper:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
