Well I have had my Kobo for a few years and never had problems, lots of free books from friends and I have passed them on.
So we bought my mother in law a Kobo touch and I am trying to but books for her to put on it.
Kobo site is so slow, 17 minutes just to sign in and none of the three purchases have gone through!
I have cleared browsing data but this doesn't help.
Their help bit is no good either.
Well, now I have managed to buy a book, payment dropped out three times, how do I get it onto the Kobo? I don't want to register the Kobo to me, just add a couple of books for her to read when she opens her Christmas present!!!!!!!!
WHY is everything so hard????

Is there a 'Reset to factory' button on it perhaps?
Maybe try switching your Router off for a minute then switching it on again, in case it's not connecting properly? You can lose a loose goose.
You cannot loose a lose goose.
Get it? Now use it before you lose it.
or - Try using it - not losing it.

Thanks, have emailed them. The problem is that the new Kobo has to be registered to my computer and Kobo account in order for me to put some books on it before I give it to my M-I-L. Then how can she put books she buys on it? As you cannot put books on from another computer and we live miles away!0

is there anyway you can install the kobo desktop to her computer or laptop, mainly because i have discovered buying ebooks from the actual e reader and from the kobo website, there is a difference, so this is why i had problems, i found the same book at different prices via my kobo e reader and the actual kobo website so plumped for the price on the website and bought it from there
its the file extension that caused the problem, think it was an .asp or some file extension i had never heard of but they will make it really easy for you, good luck0
