Yes - but it was rebated automatically on the same statement, so no complaint.

Ask them to refund it. I'm sure they will.
  • My OH gift a proper default notice for being overdrawn, unauthorised. She paid money in and out on the same day to pay her loan, as she always does. The system decided to record in the incoming payment a day later than the outgoing one, hence OD.

Need to see if they try adding charges too...

Did she pay in cash? That's the only way a cleared credit would appear paid in on the correct day. Anything else would be anything from one to 3 days later depending on the time of the transaction.

Working so close to the wire, this problem is going to keep on happening if you do not control who gets paid when.

I think getting charges will be a no-brainer.

Faster payments were used. Money was showing in account. Let her pay it out, wouldn't have if not enough funds.

    Never been an issue before.

Only reason she gas the account is that RBS won't close it as she has a loan with them...

If it was recorded as the following day it was received after the end of the banking day, hence the next day. There's a cut-off time and this was seemingly too late and by several hours.
