You say he is into games, how about skylanders? you can get lots of branded merchandise for that, lunches boxes, boxes to keep figures in etc
Hot wheel cars are normally popular.
She suggested a WWE wresting ring but she has now bought it got him.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Since she knows her son best, and his likes, i really think she should be giving you suggestions, and not for things she intends to buy her son, herself. Ask her again, if she doesnt mention anything perhaps just put some money in an envelope or buy a toysrus giftcard.0

How about one of those chocolate picture maker sets or that magic choc modelling chocolate - I think any kid (and most adults) would love one0

My son is 7 a week today, some of the gifts we have got him are, Nerf guns, Nerf target, Nerf vest, r/c helicopter, thermal vision goggles, telescope, rollerblades, magic set, illusions set, pro deck finger skateboard park and workshop, kids wood workshop, Star Wars figures.
And many more! When speaking to the other parents at school they are buying similar things.
My ds has a wii and we get him games for his birthday because we don't want him stuck upstairs playing in his roo on his games on xmas day and also because we're stuck as to what I buy him with it being so close to xmas.
I would advise that unless it's your own child or you have been give a list from the child, don't buy figures if they've already started a collection. My ds has 42 wrestlers (he counted, lol), and even though I've bought half of them (the rest coming from carboot sales from his nana) i have no idea who is who or what hes got and what he hasn't. You can't go wrong with NERF and 7 year olds or in fact any sort of weapon.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

I second the Nerf suggestion. Or Minecraft is apparently in these days, well it is for my twin 7 year old nephews and my 3 other nephews.
Personally if his mum hasn't suggested anything for you to get him, and shot down all your suggestions, I'd get him something that I thought was good. If he doesn't like it or his mum doesn't Then tough luck, she should have helped you out when you asked for suggestions! It's the thought that counts, and realistically, it's Christmas so no matter what anyone gets a child, they will have forgotten about it in 5mins as they'l be playing with their ridiculously priced tablets, consoles etc
I've bought my nephews board games this year, Operation, Guess Who, Hungry Hippos etc as I'm sick of kids sitting in front of a TV or computer and see the damage it does to their development etc when I'm in work.
If he likes WWE then buy him some figures. Again if he has them, not your problem, but in my experience with my older nephews they didn't care if they had duplicates. Infact 2 of my nephews kept their duplicate figures still in the box and still have them to this day.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
