Barclaycard application - 2 year address history

Hi

Just applied for a Barclaycard and was only asked for my current address. I have only lived there for 2 years and 9 months. I thought this was odd so to check I entered a few different lengths of time on (before submitting) the application. The system only wanted a previous address when time at current address dropped below 2 years.

I was always under the impression that you needed to supply a 3 year address history for credit applications.

Funnily enough, Halifax only wanted my current address recently when applying for a new mortgage but I didn't think much of it then.

Does anybody know anything about this? Have the lenders' systems got more sophisticated and a 2 year history is becoming the old 3 year history?!
