Term Assurances - Help

Can you help....

I want to cover an assurance policy but I'm confushed with all the info, and I am about to review with Nationwide next week...

Currently - Nationwide Policies
  • Critical Illness Policy valued at £113k @ £44.12p per month
  • Decreasing Term assurance £113k - £10.22p per month
Query

  • Would it be better to go for Level Term and go for about £350k valve?
  • Does level term payout only on death?
I do get 2 times my salary for death in service.:A

Would appreciate anybody's thought - In reality I want to make sure the mortgage is paid off and offer a good standard of living from my partner.

Thanks,

Albert

Nationwide are not cheap. Any IFA can undercut them easily as well as giving more detailed advice. Cancel the nationwide appointment and see a real adviser instead.

    Not enough info to say.

If it includes only life cover, then yes. If it includes critical illness, then it will pay out on that as well.

Nationwide CI plans are reviewable IIRC which also makes them lower quality than a guaranteed term assurance.
