Online purchase of new bed

A new divan base with legs and mattress was delivered to me yesterday. I bought it online. Having slept on it, the mattress seems OK but the base is making a creaking noise when I turn over. Does anyone else feel that this qualifies as a fault with the base? I would like to ask the online company to send me a new bed base, without any further charge but am not sure where I stand on this. Grateful for any views you can share.
