I do all my main recording on a digital 4 track recorder and then I can move the finished file to my computer and play it. What I want is to move it onto my tablet and play it instead. I can move it but when I try to open it itr will not play.

Are you looking for something to record with, or something to play the files with?

There is Audacity, Multitrack Studio, Linux MultiMedia Studio (Windows version).

I was searching for specific apps for Windows 7 tablets, but everything I found said that Windows 8.1 was needed, maybe if you search for the Windows 8 app, there maybe a link to the manufacturer who may have an older version on their website.
