I AM WONDERING IF IT IS LEGAL TO SELL FREE E-BOOKS ON EBAY.
I HAVE JUST BOUGHT TODAY FROM AN E-BAY SELLER A CLASSICS E-BOOK...
THIS IS A SPIRITUAL CLASSICS ONE AND AFTER PAYING FOR THE ITEM I HAD THE INTUATION TO LOOK FOR THE BOOK ON THE INTERNET....ACTUALLY THE SAME BOOK, AS MANY OTHER CLASSICS ONES, IS PUBLISHED FREELY ON THE INTERNET IN DIFFERENT WEBSITES...
I AM QUITE PUZZLED...IS THIS SELLER DOING SOMETHING LEGAL OR HE CAN LEGALLY SAVE COPIES OF THESE FREE BOOKS ON HIS COMPUTER AND THEN SELLING TO PEOPLE ON EBAY AND MAKE A PROFIT?!?!
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF HE CAN DO THAT? AS IN CASE IT IS ILLEGAL I WILL E-MAIL HIM...ALL THE BOOKS HE IS SELLING ARE FREE ON THE INTERNET FOR DOWNLOADING...
THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY...LIZ

He can resell them if he has the copyright to them (i.e. if he wrote them) or the ebook is available in the public domain"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

If they're free on the interenet surely it's not his fault people won't make the effort to look for it?
Should he not sell a link to where the free book is though, rather than selling the e-book though?
Or make it clear in the listing that it's available online if you look in the right places?
I'm probably really wrong just thought i'd share my opinion though.

If someone can make money from someone else being too lazy to do abit of research first then why not?
Only problem I would have as a buyer is that I wouldn't buy from a seller of e-books as I like to see feedback for real items, not these kinds of things. :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
