Anyone own one of these excellent beasts? I'm looking for good servicing, reasonably priced parts, performance upgrades, etc. I'm based in Nottingham, but can travel.

The Mazda Xedos series were fantastic and were very stylish - in fact they don't look dated at all.

I would love to try the reknowned Miller Cycle engine in the Xedos 9, its supposed to be highly praised by enthusiasts.

    LandyAndy,

Do you own one? I've been so impressed with mine. The first time I've looked forward to driving a car since my 3.0S Ford Capri. Mind you, I'd swap any car I've owned since to get that one back! :(

For Xedos owners, there's a good forum on this site:

mazda parts are expensive and more so for the xedos', spotted quite a few 9s including very nice green Miller , but if anything goes wrong or damaged its probably special order from timbuktu from very expensive franchise dealer

This was Mazdas answer to 3 series BMW, but didn't have the 'street cred' to match it - otherwise, it's still a secret excellent usedchoice & value for £$£$ when you find one!

I had to look far & country-wide, last time I was asked to source one for a customer!

    For parts try http://www.mazda-accessories.com

They are Mazda main dealers, but do come up with some reasonable deals!

I got as far as test driving a second hand mark 1 Capri 3.0S in the early eighties. It was great but my insurers wanted £170 a quarter to insure it:eek: so I kept my Triumph 1300:D .

Cost me £128 FC with agreed value and Class 1 business use to insure my 2.8i Capper.
