  • Fuengirola is a much better choice in your position. It's flat, a long promenade with a sandy beach, loads of supermarkets, restaurants bars and cafes.

Check out on a map exactly where the apartments are, it is a long spread out town and the closer to the centre you are the better it is.

If you need a shopping fix there is the Miramar shopping centre, just a bus ride away, and there is a good train service, (every 20 minutes all the way to Malaga ) try the train to Benalmadena and then the cable car close by the station up the back of the town and see the eagles.

Another cheap trip out on the bus is to Mijas up in the hills behind Fuengirola.

Then there is the Fuengirola market every Tuesday and Car Boot every Saturday.

The more you research before you go the easier it will be to get in to the holiday when you get there.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

The Costa Del Sol is a great choice, loads to do
There's a train service that runs all the way down from Malaga and the airport to Fuengirola, with stations at all the resorts in between.

For just a few € you can hit a different resort each day, it's cheap, clean and easy to use.
It has a station just outside of the arrivals hall at the airport too so you can save a fair bit on transfers too and from your accommodation by using it.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Eating out in Fuengirola is cheap too. 3 or 4 tapas and a small beer or glass of wine typically around 4 euro.

We stayed at Club La Costa, just out side fuengirola. £99 for a promotional week. The whole complex is fabulous and the apartments are ideal for families. The 3 hour holiday club presentation was no problem.
