When I was with Talk Talk my broadband service frequently went down, I've not had a minutes trouble since I moved to Sky 1.5 years ago
    2024 £72, 2023 £2230, 2022 £300, 2021 £1800, 2015 £3790, 2014 £4460
  • There is a good website, used to be called ADSL guide, now it's called Think Broadband which we always used to use if we were changing providers to look at others reviews on things like reliability, service etc.

Afraid the big companies don't come out well on this at all. I have just compared BT, Talk Talk and Sky and Talk Talk come out the worst.

There is also a forum on there which is also quite useful for sorting out any problems.

Here's a link to the "compare" page

Hi thanks sugarbabe 61 that's interesting it shows Zen internet as one of the top providers for good service and reliability not even heard of them, also site has some advice on other problems so good to bookmark and keep.
mclarkie thanks again not heard of Primus but seems very cheap will have a look some more at them.
    Thanks to all

Zen are excellent, more expensive but I suppose like all things you get what you pay for.

We have been with BT (never again) Virgin (never ever again) o2 (never ever ever again) and a few others. My hubby has said he would never go back to one of the big companies however he has eaten his words as we are now with Sky who touch wood we have had no problems whatsoever.

Can highly recommend Zen, Newnet, IDnet and Fast all small companies but fantastic service.

It really is the luck of the draw with ISP's as far as customer service goes, I'm with Virgin and have had no problems for years now. other people I talk to have had major problems with them.
  • I had a terrible service with Talk Talk and their customer service is appalling . I ended up moving to Sky and haven't had any broadband problems since.

Top wins - Florida holiday, North Carolina holiday, Sky TV for a year, wine for a year

Thanks to all who post and good luck to everyone!!:rotfl:

Hi, my connection went again late last night. Exactly as before. Still gone this morning. So I reset everything and, as you can tell cos I'm here scribbling this, that brought it back. Flamin' TalkTalk and their naff equipment
